Quick Checklist (Bring to the Airport)
Required Documentation & Gear (must bring)
- Physical ID Card (animal & handler identification).
- Recognition Gear: Service Dog vest, bandana, or harness.
- Emirates Pre-Approval for all Service Dogs & PSAs.
- Veterinary Health Certificate valid for international travel.
- Microchip (ISO-compliant) for international entry.
- Rabies Vaccination Certificate meeting departure and arrival rules.
- Import Permits for destinations with quarantine requirements (e.g., UK, EU, Australia, NZ).
Preferred Documentation (greatly facilitates acceptance and pre-clearance)
- Registration Certificate (our approved registry is accepted by all airlines).
- Prescription Letter confirming PSA or Service Dog status.
- Behavior Certificate confirming stable temperament and safe public behavior.
Steps to Take (in Order)
- Request Emirates assistance-animal approval immediately after booking.
- Confirm import requirements for the destination (some countries require 30-day advance approval).
- Bring printed & digital copies of all veterinary and approval documents.
Route Limitations (Assistance Animals)
- Service Dogs and PSAs are accepted on all Emirates flights.
- ESAs are not accepted under any circumstances.
- Some destinations enforce strict quarantine or health-entry rules (UK, EU, Australia, NZ, Singapore).
- Space limitations may apply depending on aircraft.
- Dogs must remain on the floor without blocking aisles or exits.
