Quick Checklist (Bring to the Airport)

Required Documentation & Gear (must bring)

  • Physical ID Card (animal & handler identification).
  • Recognition Gear: Service Dog vest, bandana, or harness.
  • Emirates Pre-Approval for all Service Dogs & PSAs.
  • Veterinary Health Certificate valid for international travel.
  • Microchip (ISO-compliant) for international entry.
  • Rabies Vaccination Certificate meeting departure and arrival rules.
  • Import Permits for destinations with quarantine requirements (e.g., UK, EU, Australia, NZ).

Preferred Documentation (greatly facilitates acceptance and pre-clearance)

  • Registration Certificate (our approved registry is accepted by all airlines).
  • Prescription Letter confirming PSA or Service Dog status.
  • Behavior Certificate confirming stable temperament and safe public behavior.

Steps to Take (in Order)

  • Request Emirates assistance-animal approval immediately after booking.
  • Confirm import requirements for the destination (some countries require 30-day advance approval).
  • Bring printed & digital copies of all veterinary and approval documents.

Route Limitations (Assistance Animals)

  • Service Dogs and PSAs are accepted on all Emirates flights.
  • ESAs are not accepted under any circumstances.
  • Some destinations enforce strict quarantine or health-entry rules (UK, EU, Australia, NZ, Singapore).
  • Space limitations may apply depending on aircraft.
  • Dogs must remain on the floor without blocking aisles or exits.
