Quick Checklist (Bring to the Airport)
Required Documentation & Gear (must bring)
- Physical ID Card (animal & handler identification).
- Recognition Gear: Service Dog vest, bandana, or harness.
- Wizz Air Pre-Approval for Service Dogs and Psychiatric Service Dogs.
- Veterinary Health Certificate valid for EU/EEA travel.
- EU Pet Passport or compliant Third-Country Health Certificate.
- Rabies Vaccination Certificate meeting EU regulations.
- Microchip matching all veterinary documents.
Preferred Documentation (greatly facilitates acceptance and pre-clearance)
- Registration Certificate (our approved registry is accepted by all airlines).
- Prescription Letter confirming PSA or Service Dog need.
- Behavior Certificate verifying calm and safe behavior.
Steps to Take (in Order)
- Request Wizz Air assistance-animal approval immediately after booking.
- Confirm all EU veterinary and travel requirements for your route.
- Carry printed and digital copies of all documentation.
Route Limitations (Assistance Animals)
- Only trained Service Dogs and PSAs are permitted in the cabin.
- ESAs are not accepted on any Wizz Air flight.
- Pets are not accepted in the cabin on Wizz Air.
- Extra restrictions may apply to non-EU destinations.
- Aircraft configuration may limit space for large Service Dogs.
