Quick Checklist (Bring to the Airport)
Required Documentation & Gear (must bring)
- Physical ID Card (animal + handler identification).
- Recognition Gear: Service Animal vest, bandana, or harness.
- Volaris-required assistance animal forms (if applicable).
- Vaccination Records including rabies certificate.
- Microchip matching all documents.
- Veterinary Health Certificate (required for international routes; strongly recommended for domestic Mexico routes).
Preferred Documentation (greatly facilitates acceptance and pre-clearance)
- Registration Certificate (our registry is accepted by all airlines).
- Prescription Letter confirming PSA or Service Dog need.
- Behavior Certificate.
Steps to Take (in Order)
- After booking, notify Volaris of your Service Dog or PSA.
- Submit required documents through Volaris’ online channels if needed.
- Bring printed and digital copies to the airport.
Route Limitations (Service Dogs)
- Service Dogs accepted on most domestic and international routes.
- PSAs are treated as task-trained Service Dogs and may require documentation.
- ESAs are accepted only on select routes and under limited conditions; many routes require animals to travel as pets.
