Deworming / Tapeworm Treatment Rules

Serbia does not require tapeworm treatment for incoming dogs.
Routine deworming is recommended, especially for pets visiting rural or forested regions.

Restricted Breeds at Entry

Serbia permits all breeds to enter; however, certain breeds are classified as “potentially dangerous” and must follow stricter control rules:

  • American Pit Bull Terrier
  • Rottweiler
  • Doberman Pinscher
  • Staffordshire Bull Terrier
  • American Staffordshire Terrier

These breeds may require a short leash and muzzle in public.

Public Transport & Transit Rules

Service Dogs are permitted on Serbian public transport, including buses and trains.
Pets may require a carrier, ticket, or muzzle depending on the operator; Service Dogs travel without restrictions or fees.
