  • Assistance Animals follow the same import rules as pets.

Deworming / Tapeworm Treatment Rules

The Czech Republic does not require tapeworm treatment for incoming dogs.
Routine deworming is still recommended, especially for dogs visiting rural or wooded areas.

Restricted Breeds at Entry

The Czech Republic does not impose national breed bans.
Certain municipalities may enforce control requirements (leash/muzzle) for powerful or protective breeds.

Public Transport & Transit Rules

Service Dogs are allowed on all major public transportation, including trams, buses, and metro systems.
Pets may need a ticket, muzzle, or leash depending on operator policy, but Service Dogs are exempt from restrictions and fees.
