    • High-risk countries: Rabies Titer required

  • Prescription Letter (ESA, PSA, or Service Animal letter from a licensed professional)

Important Notes

  • A physical ID Card, Registration Certificate, and visible Recognition Gear speed up the processing.
  • No airport restrictions: You may enter Cyprus through any airport as long as the airline accepts the animal and required documents are provided.
  • Assistance Animals follow the same import rules as pets.

Deworming / Tapeworm Treatment Rules

Cyprus does not require tapeworm treatment for incoming dogs.
However, routine deworming is recommended due to local wildlife and warm climate conditions.

Restricted Breeds at Entry

Cyprus does not enforce national breed bans.
Some breeds classified as “potentially dangerous” may be subject to local leash and muzzle regulations when in public.

Public Transport & Transit Rules

Service Dogs are allowed on public transportation in Cyprus, including buses operated by regional companies.
Pets are generally restricted and may require a carrier, muzzle, or paid ticket depending on the operator.
