Quick Checklist (Bring to the Airport)
Required Documentation & Gear (must bring)
- Physical ID Card (animal & handler identification).
- Recognition Gear: Service Dog vest, bandana, or harness.
- EgyptAir Special Assistance Approval (required for PSAs & Service Dogs).
- Veterinary Health Certificate issued within the required timeframe.
- Microchip (ISO-compliant) for international travel.
- Rabies Vaccination Certificate valid and compliant with Egyptian regulations.
- Import/Export Permits depending on destination country.
Preferred Documentation (greatly facilitates acceptance and pre-clearance)
- Registration Certificate (our approved registry is accepted by all airlines).
- Prescription Letter confirming PSA or Service Dog need.
- Behavior Certificate confirming calm and public-safe behavior.
Steps to Take (in Order)
- Submit EgyptAir assistance-animal approval immediately after booking.
- Verify veterinary and import requirements for Egypt or destination country.
- Carry printed & digital copies of all health and approval documents.
Route Limitations (Assistance Animals)
- PSAs and trained Service Dogs are accepted on all EgyptAir routes.
- ESAs are not accepted under any circumstances.
- Egypt requires strict import documentation including rabies vaccination and microchip proof.
- Some international destinations may require additional veterinary permits.
- Space limitations may apply depending on aircraft type.
