Quick Checklist (Bring to the Airport)
Required Documentation & Gear (must bring)
- Physical ID Card (animal & handler identification).
- Recognition Gear: Service Dog vest, bandana, or harness.
- Vueling Pre-Approval required for Service Dogs and PSAs.
- EU Pet Passport or Valid Veterinary Health Certificate for EU travel.
- Rabies Vaccination Certificate compliant with EU entry rules.
- Microchip ISO-compatible and matching all veterinary documents.
- Pet-in-Cabin Requirements (for ESA-style travel): paid pet fee, weight limit, airline-approved carrier.
Preferred Documentation (greatly facilitates acceptance and pre-clearance)
- Registration Certificate (our approved registry is accepted by all airlines).
- Prescription Letter confirming PSA or Service Dog need.
- Behavior Certificate verifying calm, public-safe behavior.
Steps to Take (in Order)
- Request Vueling assistance-animal approval as soon as you book.
- Review EU pet-travel and Service Dog rules for your destinations.
- Bring both printed and digital copies of all veterinary and airline documents.
Route Limitations (Assistance Animals)
- Service Dogs and PSAs are accepted on all Vueling routes.
- ESAs may only travel as pets in cabin where permitted.
- Pets are not allowed in cabin on certain island or international routes.
- Some destinations require extra veterinary or customs paperwork.
- Aircraft types may limit floor space for large Service Dogs.
