Required Documentation & Gear (must bring)
- Physical ID Card (animal & handler identification).
- Recognition Gear: Service Dog vest, bandana, or harness.
- Kuwait Airways Special Assistance Approval (mandatory for PSAs & Service Dogs).
- Veterinary Health Certificate issued within the required timeframe.
- Microchip (ISO-compliant) for international routes.
- Rabies Vaccination Certificate valid and compliant with Kuwait import rules.
- Import Permit for entry into Kuwait or other regulated destinations.
Preferred Documentation (greatly facilitates acceptance and pre-clearance)
- Registration Certificate (our approved registry is accepted by all airlines).
- Prescription Letter confirming PSA or Service Dog status.
- Behavior Certificate verifying controlled temperament and safe public behavior.
Steps to Take (in Order)
- Request Kuwait Airways assistance-animal approval immediately after booking.
- Ensure arrival country import documents meet all requirements.
- Carry printed & digital copies of all veterinary and approval documents.
Route Limitations (Assistance Animals)
- Kuwait Airways accepts PSAs and trained Service Dogs on eligible routes.
- ESAs are not accepted under any circumstances.
- Middle Eastern destinations often require strict import permits and health certificates.
- Space restrictions may apply based on aircraft type.
- Some countries require advance quarantine or veterinary inspection.
