ESA (Emotional Support Animals): Not Accepted
PSA (Psychiatric Support Animals): Accepted

Quick Checklist (Bring to the Airport)

Required Documentation & Gear (must bring)

  • Physical ID Card (animal & handler identification).
  • Recognition Gear: Service Dog vest, bandana, or harness.
  • EgyptAir Special Assistance Approval (required for PSAs & Service Dogs).
  • Veterinary Health Certificate issued within the required timeframe.
  • Microchip (ISO-compliant) for international travel.
  • Rabies Vaccination Certificate valid and compliant with Egyptian regulations.
  • Import/Export Permits depending on destination country.

Preferred Documentation (greatly facilitates acceptance and pre-clearance)

  • Registration Certificate (our approved registry is accepted by all airlines).
  • Prescription Letter confirming PSA or Service Dog need.
  • Behavior Certificate confirming calm and public-safe behavior.

Steps to Take (in Order)

  • Submit EgyptAir assistance-animal approval immediately after booking.
  • Verify veterinary and import requirements for Egypt or destination country.
  • Carry printed & digital copies of all health and approval documents.

Route Limitations (Assistance Animals)

  • PSAs and trained Service Dogs are accepted on all EgyptAir routes.
  • ESAs are not accepted under any circumstances.
  • Egypt requires strict import documentation including rabies vaccination and microchip proof.
  • Some international destinations may require additional veterinary permits.
  • Space limitations may apply depending on aircraft type.
