Deworming / Tapeworm Treatment Rules
Monaco follows French veterinary import guidelines: tapeworm treatment is not required for dogs entering.
Routine deworming is still recommended, especially for dogs visiting coastal or wooded areas.
Restricted Breeds at Entry
Monaco has no national breed bans.
However, because all travel passes through France, French Category 1 and Category 2 breed restrictions may apply when entering or transiting through French territory.
Public Transport & Transit Rules
Service Dogs are allowed on public transport in Monaco, including buses and local shuttles.
Pets may require a leash, muzzle, or carrier depending on operator rules. Service Dogs travel without restrictions.
For more information, see Monaco Laws & Regulations.
